Travel blog: My visit to Liverpool to see the Three Queens!
Good morning!
Hope you are all having a great day.
Over the last 2 days Liverpool has attracted at least 1.3 million visitors to see the three Queens. The three Queens are boats which are all made by Cunard and the company used to be situated in Liverpool. However, the company have now moved to Southampton but millions of people were overwhelmed by the beautiful boats.
The first Queen which arrived at Liverpool was Queen Mary 2. I had never seen boats as big as these in my life and I thought it was wonderful that they came to Liverpool. Yesterday, we travelled back to Liverpool to go and visit the other Queens. (Queen Victoria and Queen Elizabeth.)
Before Queen Mary 2 left Liverpool, red arrows flew over the three ships. It was a beautiful performance and the jets trailed red, white and blue smoke behind them.
It was such a great experience to see the boats meet and a phenomenal show was put on around 10pm in the night, with lights and fireworks celebrating the 175th anniversary of Cunard.
I had a great day and it was amazing to be able to see boats which are part of Liverpool's history. Thanks for reading.
