Homemade Pancakes - Pancake Tuesday
Hey everyone!
I hope you all had a great pancake tuesday! I love pancakes and certainly enjoy eating them on pancake tuesday! I love to cook my own pancakes because they are easy to make and don't take very long, I am always happy with my final result after making pancakes.
Pancakes do not take very long to make, if you haven't made them already. I also enjoy making my own pancakes because they are better than any pancakes which you buy at the supermarket.
If you would like to try and make your own pancakes, please keep reading as I will write an ingredient list and tutorial!
Ingredients:
100g Plain Flour
2 eggs
300ml semi-skimmed milk
1 tbsp of sunflower or vegetable oil, plus extra for frying
pinch of salt
Tutorial:
Firstly you are going to put the 100g of plain flour and a pinch of salt into a large mixing bowl, then you are going to add 2 eggs into the mixing bowl and then pour approximately 50ml of milk and 1tbsp in to the mixture! Once all the flour is incorporated , beat until you have a smooth thick paste. If the mixture becomes to stiff to beat add a little more milk!
To finish the batter you are going to add a good splash of milk then you are going to whisk to loosen the thick batter. Whilst you are still whisking add in the remaining milk, continue pouring and whisking until the batter has a consistency of slightly thick single cream.
Then pour your batter into a jug and get your pan ready on the hob, remember to spray your pan with either sunflower or vegetable oil before you make your pancakes!
Once the pan is heating up add some of the batter onto your pan and move the pan around to increase the size of your pancake! Once air bubbles start to appear its time to flip your pancake! Using a fish slice gently try to pick up the pancake from the underneath and then flip the pancake onto the other side!
To make sure the pancake is done flip it over again so that both sides are cooked! Carry on repeating this process for your pancakes!
For decorating pancakes I used nutella but you can use golden syrup or ice cream, what ever you like!
Hope you enjoyed this blog and enjoy eating your pancakes!
I am thinking of making a website for my food writing, if i do make one i will post on twitter and instagram once its up!
Thanks for reading and stay tuned for more blogs!
